Admissions
The admission route depends on level and institution. The Uzbek qualification must be accepted as equivalent for the selected programme; an 11-year school certificate may lead to additional assessment or a foundation route. French or English proficiency and legalised translations may be required.

Submit the admission application and satisfy any academic or language conditions. 4. Accept the offer, pay any required deposit and obtain the institution documents needed for immigration. 5. Complete the admission route applicable to Uzbekistan, then apply through France-Visas for the long-stay student visa. 6. Arrange accommodation, insurance and all post-arrival registration steps.
Visa from Uzbekistan
For study longer than three months, Uzbek citizens normally need a long-stay student visa that functions as or leads to a residence permit. Admission, accommodation, resources and insurance or healthcare formalities must be documented.

Financial evidence
Show regular resources at least at the current official student minimum, plus a realistic plan for tuition, accommodation and travel. The exact evidence is generated by the France-Visas wizard and may include bank statements, scholarship or sponsor documents.
Work and post-study opportunities
Employment is secondary to study and is not expected to finance the full stay. Some programmes, apprenticeships and regulated roles have additional conditions.
Eligible master's-level graduates may obtain a 12-month job-search or business-creation permit, then switch to a suitable status.
Student life
Options include CROUS residences, private student residences, shared flats and homestays. Students complete French health-insurance registration after arrival when eligible and may add a supplementary mutuelle.
Climate and packing
Most of France has a temperate climate. The Atlantic west is mild and wet, the Mediterranean south is hotter and drier, eastern areas have colder winters, and mountain regions receive snow.
