Check the DAAD admission database, anabin and the university's rules. An Uzbek school certificate may not provide direct bachelor access on its own; a Studienkolleg, assessment test or recognised prior university study may be needed. Master's entry requires a relevant recognised bachelor's degree.

Apply for the German national study visa with admission, financing and health-insurance evidence, then obtain the residence permit after arrival. 6. Arrange accommodation, insurance and all post-arrival registration steps.
Visa from Uzbekistan
Uzbek citizens normally need a national visa for study before travel. Admission or a preparatory-course place, secure financing, language evidence where required and valid health insurance are key documents.

Financial evidence
For 2026, the standard student-visa benchmark is EUR 11,904, commonly shown through a blocked account. A qualifying scholarship or formal declaration of commitment can be accepted instead.
Work and post-study opportunities
Certain academic student-assistant jobs are treated differently. Students must protect their full-time study status and check tax, social-insurance and residence implications before working more.
Graduates may receive up to 18 months to seek qualified work and may work in any occupation during the search.
Student life
Student dormitories, shared flats and private rentals are common, with intense demand in large cities. Health insurance is mandatory for enrolment and residence; eligibility for statutory student insurance depends on age and study status.
Climate and packing
Germany has a temperate climate with cool to cold winters, mild to warm summers and rainfall throughout the year. Conditions are wetter in the west and more continental in the east and south.
