Admissions
The institution uses Nuffic guidance and its own admissions policy to compare the Uzbek qualification with Dutch HAVO, VWO or higher-education standards. A foundation year or additional study may be required for research-university entry. Subject and English requirements apply.

Plan early and confirm the exact university and immigration requirements with SAMI before submitting.

Compare entry requirements, tuition, location and career fit.

Arrange academic records, certified translations and language evidence.

Step 3
Check for the 15 January numerus-fixus deadline; otherwise apply well before the September or February start and the institution's immigration cut-off.

Meet offer conditions, pay required deposits and prepare financial evidence.

Arrange accommodation, insurance, arrival formalities and pre-departure support.
1. Shortlist a recognised institution and programme. 2. Confirm how the Uzbek qualification is assessed and prepare translations. 3. Submit the admission application and satisfy any academic or language conditions. 4. Accept the offer, pay any required deposit and obtain the institution documents needed for immigration. 5. The recognised sponsor institution normally submits the MVV and residence-permit application to the IND after admission and financial completion. 6. Arrange accommodation, insurance and all post-arrival registration steps.
Visa from Uzbekistan
Uzbek citizens normally require an MVV entry visa and a student residence permit. The university, as recognised sponsor, manages the IND application after admission, payment and financial evidence.

Financial evidence
For higher professional education and university study in 2026, the IND study amount is EUR 1,130.77 per month, in addition to tuition. Institutions usually collect or verify the required annual amount before submitting immigration documents.
Work and post-study opportunities
The student chooses either the weekly option or the summer full-time option. An internship that is part of the curriculum follows separate agreement rules.
Eligible graduates may use a one-year orientation-year permit and work without an employer TWV during that year.
Student life
Housing shortages are serious, so students should secure verified accommodation before travel. Insurance rules depend on whether the student works: Dutch basic insurance can become mandatory with employment, while non-working students need adequate international or private cover.
Climate and packing
The Netherlands has a mild maritime climate with cool winters, moderate summers, frequent rain and wind. Waterproof clothing and cycling safety equipment are useful year-round.
