Admissions
Universities set their own international admission criteria and may accept TR-YÖS, SAT, school results or another listed qualification. The Uzbek certificate, transcript and programme subjects are assessed individually. Turkish or English proficiency may be required after admission.

Scholarships
Türkiye Scholarships can cover tuition, accommodation, insurance, a stipend and other support for selected applicants. Universities also offer merit discounts and foundation-university scholarships; check whether the award continues after the first year.
Application preparation
Check whether each document is needed for admission, visa, or only in specific cases. Translation and legalisation requirements can vary.

1. Shortlist a recognised institution and programme. 2. Confirm how the Uzbek qualification is assessed and prepare translations. 3. Submit the admission application and satisfy any academic or language conditions. 4. Accept the offer, pay any required deposit and obtain the institution documents needed for immigration. 5. Complete the university's international admission route, obtain any entry visa required and apply for the student residence permit after enrolment. 6. Arrange accommodation, insurance and all post-arrival registration steps.
Visa from Uzbekistan
Uzbek citizens must follow the current Turkish entry rules and obtain a student residence permit for long-term higher education. Enrolment evidence, address, insurance and proof that expenses are covered are required.

Financial evidence
Provide evidence that tuition and living expenses will be covered by the student, family, scholarship or another sponsor. The university and migration authority can request bank, sponsor-income or support documents; no single universal student amount should be assumed.
Work and post-study opportunities
A student residence permit is not a work permit. The employer and student must follow Ministry of Labour procedures, and the applicable conditions depend on degree level and employment.
Graduates may obtain a one-year post-graduation residence permit to seek work or plan further study; work needs a permit.
Student life
Options include state or university dormitories, private dormitories and shared flats. Students must hold accepted health insurance or complete General Health Insurance registration within the applicable period.
Climate and packing
Turkey spans several climates. Mediterranean and Aegean coasts have hot, dry summers; central areas have colder continental winters; the Black Sea is wetter; eastern regions can be very cold and snowy.
