1. Scope

This policy applies to fees paid directly to SAMI for application or premium services. It does not automatically apply to money collected by or transferred to a university, school, government, embassy, visa centre, testing body, translator, courier, insurer, bank, accommodation provider, or another third party.

Mandatory consumer rights and the student’s signed agreement prevail where they provide different protection.

2. First application completely free

SAMI’s first eligible application is free of SAMI application-service fees. The free scope generally covers the standard SAMI work needed to prepare and coordinate one eligible application.

It does not include university application fees, tuition deposits, tests, translations, certification, courier costs, visa or immigration charges, government fees, insurance, travel, accommodation, bank fees, or other third-party costs.

Because no SAMI application-service fee is charged for the free application, there is no SAMI application fee to refund.

3. Additional applications

Applications beyond the included allowance may require the additional application fee shown before purchase. The fee pays for SAMI work allocated to that additional application.

Before work starts, a cancellation request may qualify for a full refund of the SAMI fee, less any non-refundable payment-provider charge where the law permits. After work starts, SAMI may deduct a proportionate amount for work already performed. Once the agreed application service has been fully performed, the SAMI fee is normally non-refundable, subject to mandatory law.

4. Premium packages

Premium services may include enhanced support, a larger application allowance, priority coordination, or staged services. The package description and payment schedule form part of the purchase.

If a premium package is cancelled, any refund is calculated according to the stages completed, resources reserved, work performed, and non-recoverable costs. A payment is not automatically refundable merely because an admission, scholarship, or visa outcome is unsuccessful.

5. University and third-party fees

University application fees, deposits, tuition, visa fees, government charges, testing fees, translations, certification, couriers, accommodation, insurance, banking, and payment-provider charges are governed by the recipient’s rules.

SAMI can help forward a refund request but cannot promise that a third party will approve or pay it. A fee already remitted to a third party is refundable by SAMI only if SAMI recovers it and has a legal or contractual duty to pass it back.

6. Non-refundable circumstances

To the extent permitted by law, a payment may be non-refundable where:

  • the agreed SAMI service has been fully performed;
  • the charge belongs to a third party whose rules make it non-refundable;
  • work was based on inaccurate, incomplete, fraudulent, or late information from the student;
  • the student misses a deadline, fails to respond, withdraws, changes plans, or does not meet an entry or visa requirement;
  • an institution or authority refuses, delays, closes, or changes the application for reasons outside SAMI’s control;
  • the payment covers completed document review, translation, certification, courier, booking, or another consumed service; or
  • a refund request falls outside an applicable contractual or statutory period.

This section does not apply where SAMI failed to provide a paid service and the law requires a refund or other remedy.

7. Cancellation process

Send a clear cancellation request to info@sami.uz with the student name, portal or invoice reference, service purchased, payment date, reason, and supporting documents.

The effective cancellation time is when SAMI receives the request. Until then, scheduled work may continue. We may ask for identity and payment verification to prevent fraud.

8. Refund decisions and payment

We aim to acknowledge a complete request within three working days and provide a decision within fifteen working days. Complex third-party recovery may take longer; we will provide an update.

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method or verified payer, subject to provider rules and legal checks. Bank, exchange-rate, or payment-provider differences outside SAMI’s control may affect the amount received.

9. Chargebacks and disputes

Please contact SAMI before starting a chargeback so we can investigate. A dishonest or duplicate chargeback may lead to suspension and recovery action. This does not remove a lawful right to dispute an unauthorised or incorrectly processed payment.

Unresolved complaints may be escalated under the Complaints Procedure.
